Ahead of the swearing-in as the 15th chief minister of Assam, BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma sought blessings of Ma Kamakhya at the Kamakhya Temple on Monday.

On Monday, Sarma also visited Sri Sri Doul Govinda Mandir in North Guwahati and the Sri Sri Ishwar Hati Satra at Sualkuchi and sought blessings of the Almighty.

Sarma tweeted: “In the morning today, offered prayers in the feet of Devi Ma after visiting Shakti Peeth Kamakhya Temple, seeking peace and development of the state. Sought that the Kripamayee Devima keep on showering blessings on the people of Assam.”

Informing about his visit to Doul Govinda Mandir, Sarma said he prayed in the temple seeking peace and prosperity of the people of the state.

“Let Mahaprabhu bless all and the lives of all become peaceful and prosperous,” he tweeted.
