Guwahati City FC has partnered with Assam’s first-ever FIFA approved turf ‘Game On Arena’ for a dedicated grassroots training facility.
The admissions for the new GCFC Football School are open now for 4-12 years old kids and for both boys and girls.
The new facility will be located at Game on Arena Centre, Kerakuchi Tiniali in Beharabari.
The training at the artificial turf will be done under the observation of the Assam Football Confederation (AFC) and All India Football Federation (AIFF) licensed coaches of the club.
“Special emphasis will be given to provide our girls equal opportunity to play and learn the game,” said a GCFC press statement.
The focus will also be to sensitize kids about gender equality from childhood along with a modern grassroots training programme, the statement said.
The GCFC Football School will also give the kids the opportunity to play in competitive tournaments like Greater Guwahati Baby League and promote the promising kids to the GCFC Youth teams, the statement added.
