Nagaland’s Covid19 tally increased to 10,188 on Tuesday with the detection of 163 positive cases while the death toll stood at 47.

Confirming the news, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 status on Tuesday said:  “Update! 163 +ve cases of # COVID-19 detected today.”

Of the new cases, the health minister said, Peren district has reported 133 cases, Dimapur 14, Kohima 12, Phek 3 and Tuensang district has reported 1 case.

Meanwhile, 37 more patients have recovered from the disease.

While 21 patients have recovered from Dimapur district, 10 have recovered from Mon and 6 patients have recovered from Kohima district.

The health minister has requested the people to “wear mask, wash hands, watch distance” as preventive measures.

According to the bulletin on Covid19 released by the state health department, so far a total of 8897 patients have recovered from the disease.

Nagaland currently has 1,134 active Covid19 cases.

While the deadly disease has claimed the lives of 47 patients, 100 other positive patients have migrated from the state.
