Ahead of Diwali, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday launched eco-friendly diyas.
To motivate the unemployed youths to be job-creators rather than job-seekers, Tripura chief minister Deb introduced Bamboo candles.
Speaking on the occasion, the Tripura CM said: “Bamboo products will definitely help reduce unemployment problems in the state.”
The chief minister said inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a new India, artisans from Sipahijala made eco-friendly bamboo diyas.
“Bring these diyas to your home this Diwali and help fulfil PM Narendra Modiji’s vision of an Atma Nirbhar Bharat, It’s time to show support to traditional items,” chief minister Deb said.
Chief minister Deb launched the locally-made eco-friendly diyas at the Secretariat.
Earlier, the women’s self-help groups showed him the products.
He also launched bamboo candles and said: “This will boost robust employment.”
