Twenty security personnel including 13 BSF and seven other armed forces are among the 28 persons who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. Six others are civilians.
While 21 of them are new positive cases from East Khasi Hills district (13 BSF, two other armed forces and six civilians), five are from Ri Bhoi district (all armed forces) and two civilians from West Jaiñtia Hills district.
No fresh recovery case was reported.
With 28 new positive cases, Meghalaya now recorded a total of 902 cases, which include 633 active cases, 264 recovery cases, and five death cases.
