One more mob lynching took place in Tripura.

Matin Mia who was lynched by the villagers on Saturday at last passed away on Sunday.

Matin Mia was mercilessly beaten up by the villagers as they accused him of being a cow lifter.

The incident took place at Gorurband village of Sonamura sub-division in Sepahijala district.

Matin died at Melaghar hospital, where he was admitted.

According to the villagers, on Saturday night a group of thieves entered into the house of one Tapan Bhowmik to steal the castles from his house.

Some villagers heard the barking of dogs at Barnarayan area and they became alert.

The villagers came out from the houses and saw that some people are going with cows and the villagers chased them.

According to the villagers, all of them fled from the spot but they caught Matin Mia from that place.

The villagers beaten him up and on Sunday morning police rescued him from the spot.

He was send to Melaghar hospital, where he died.

This year in September and July two mob lynching cases was took place in the State.

In last year five people died in Tripura due to mob lynching.
