A Mumbai Court has issued a bailable warrant against Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut on Monday.

The Court issued the warrant against Kangana Ranaut in a defamation case filed by lyricist Javed Akhtar.

The warrant was issued by the Court after Kangana Ranaut failed to appear before it on Monday.

The bailable warrant was issued by Andheri metropolitan magistrate’s court on Monday.

The Court had issued summon to Kangana Ranaut on February 1, directing her to appear before it on March 1 (Monday).

However, despite the Court’s direction, Kangana Ranaut did not appear before it.

The matter will be next heard by the Court on March 26.

Renowned lyricist Javed Akhtar had filed a complaint against Kangana Ranaut for allegedly making baseless statements against him which ‘damaged’ his reputation.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer, who was present at the court, informed that the Bollywood actor and right-winged activist are mulling to challenge the summons in a higher court.
