Kuldeep Sengar

Kuldeep Sengar, the BJP MLA who was convicted last year of raping a minor in Unnao in 2017, has also been found guilty in her father’s death.

A Delhi court on Wednesday held Sengar and six others out of 11 accused in death of the victim’s father in April 2018 in judicial custody.

The family accused Kuldeep Sengar of killing him.

Sengar has already been convicted in raping the girl and on December 20, 2019, he was sentenced for life by a Delhi court.

The victim’s father was thrashed by Sengar and a few others when he got involved in an altercation with one Shashi Pratap Singh.

After beating the victim’s father black and blue, Sengar and his men took him to a police station and lodged an FIR against him.

Based on the FIR, the police arrested the victim’s father.

Police framed charges against Sengar, his brother Atul, Makhi police station in-charge Ashok Singh Bhadauria, Sub-Inspector Kamta Prasad, Constable Amir Khan and six others.

On Supreme Court‘s directions, the case was transferred to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh in 2019.
