A teacher of a private school in Rajasthan’s Udaipur has been sacked following her celebratory post following Pakistan’s win over India in the ongoing T20 World Cup. 

A case has also been registered against the school teacher. 

The school teacher has been identified as Nafeesa Attari, who worked at the Neerja Modi School in Udaipur. 

Nafeesa Attari in a WhatsApp status had posted a picture of Pakistani players with caption, “Jeeeet gayeeee We wonnn”. 

After screenshots of her post went viral, the management of the school sacked her.

“We have decided to terminate the teacher,” the school administration informed. 

Meanwhile, a case has also been registered against the teacher under section 153 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Amba Mata Police Station. 

Meanwhile, the teacher has apologised for the post. 

“Someone messaged me and asked whether ‘you support Pakistan’. As the message had emojis and it was environment of fun, I replied Yes’. But, it doesn’t mean anywhere that I support Pakistan. I am an Indian and I love India. I love India as much as everyone else does,” Nafeesa Attari, the school teacher said.
