A Tamil Nadu doctor who tested negative for coronavirus died of dengue in a private hospital in Coimbatore on Wednesday.
The 30-year-old doctor was a native of Sirumugai and he was serving in the primary health centre in Tengumarhada.
Tengumarhada is a tribal village in Nilgiris district of the state.
The deceased, identified as Jayamohan, was admitted to a private hospital a couple of days back after he complained of high fever.
Hospital sources informed that Jayamohan had undergone coronavirus test and the result of it was negative.
“When we carried out further tests, we found that he was suffering from dengue. He passed away without responding to the treatment,” the hospital sources further added.
