The clinical trials of the world’s first COVID-19 vaccine have been “completed” at  Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, informed the director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Biotechnology Vadim Tarasov.

“Sechenov University has successfully completed tests on volunteers of the world’s first vaccine against coronavirus,” reported Times Now quoting Tarasov.

Tarasov further informed that the first group of volunteers who participated in the trials will be discharged on July 15 and the second batch on July 20.

It may be mentioned here that the university was conducting trials since June 18.

The vaccine has been produced by the Gamalei Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, Russia.
