Well known poll strategist Prashant Kishor is likely to be inducted into the Congress party.

However, Prashant Kishor’s induction into the Congress depends on party president Sonia Gandhi, who is yet to take a decision on the matter.

Sonia Gandhi has been holding key meetings with several senior leaders of the party over proposed induction of Prashant Kishor into the Congress.

However, differences seems to have emerged among the leaders of the Congress over Prashant Kishor’s proposed induction into the party.

Reports say that some of these leaders have raised objections over Prashant Kishor’s inclusion in the party, while others have favoured it as they feel Kishor will bring a lot to the table for the party.

The group of 23 leaders, who had written to Gandhi last year seeking an overhaul of the organisation, is learnt to have objected to Prashant Kishor.

Many in the Congress party believe that given Prashant Kishor’s successful past track record, his induction will be beneficial for the party, especially ahead of the Assembly elections in several states next year.
