New Zealand spin bowler Ajaz Patel has become the third bowler in the history of cricket to scalp 10 wickets in a Test match innings.

Ajaz Patel achieved this feat on the second day of the ongoing second Test match between India and New Zealand at the Wankhade Stadium in Mumbai.

Patel scalped all the 10 wickets of the Indian first innings.

The 33-year-old Kiwi spinner returned with figures of 10-119 in 47.5 overs.

Patel became only the third bowler in the history of cricket, after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble, to take 10 wickets in a Test innings.

While, Jim Laker of England took 10-53 against Australia at Manchester in 1956, Anil Kumble had scalped all 10 wickets in Pakistani innings at Delhi in 1999.

“Welcome to the club,” Anil Kumble said.
