“It will be called Greens Zoological, Rescue & Rehabilitation Kingdom and the required approvals from central and state government authorities concerned have already been obtained,” said RIL director (corporate affairs) Parimal Nathwani.

The zoo will house nearly 100 different species of birds and reptiles from India and across the world.

It will be built in an area covering 280 acres of land, close to the company’s refinery project at Moti Khavdi near Jamnagar.

According to the plan, the zoo will start running in the next two years.

Reliance Industries, as a part of its CSR plan, has also decided to come up with a rescue centre for animals at Jamnagar.
