Bollywood actor and right-winged activist Kangana Ranaut’s twitter handle has been “permanently suspended”. 

The twitter handle of Kangana Ranaut has been “permanently suspended” after the actor posted a controversial tweet relating to the post-election result violence in West Bengal.  

Social media giant – Twitter informed that TKangana Ranaut’s account has been suspended as she repeatedly violated Twitter’s policy on “hateful conduct and abusive behaviour”. 

A Twitter spokesperson said, “We have been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy. We enforce the Twitter Rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service.”

Reacting to her suspension on the micro-blogging platform, the actress said, “Twitter has only proved my point they are Americans and by birth, a white person feels entitled to enslave a brown person, they want to tell you what to think, speak or do.” 

Kangana had tagged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in retaliation. She had written in a tweet, “My account and my virtual identity might get martyred for the country anytime.” 

Kangana Ranaut had been creating controversies through her outrageous tweets in the recent times. 

Meanwhile, many praised Twitter for finally taking action against the actor and hoped that she would never be allowed to return to the platform.
