India reported 3,417 more Covid19 deaths and 3,68,147 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, according to Union health ministry data on Monday.

According to the Union health ministry data, India’s total active caseload reached 34,13,642 on Monday.

The caseload now comprises 17.13% of the country’s total positive cases.

“A net incline of 63,998 cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours,” the health ministry said.

“3,417 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. The National Recovery Rate is 81.77% with 3,00,732 recoveries being reported in the last 24 hours,” the health ministry said.

Ten states account for 73.49% of the new recoveries.

Ten states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar reported 73.78% of the new Covid19 cases.

Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 56,647.

Maharashtra is followed by Karnataka with 37,733 while Kerala reported 31,959 new cases.

Twelve states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar and Haryana cumulatively account for 81.46% of India’s total active Covid19 cases.

The health ministry claimed the National Mortality Rate has been falling and currently it stands at 1.10% and is continuously declining.

Ten states account for 74.54% of the new deaths.

Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (669) followed by Delhi (407) and Uttar Pradesh with 288 daily deaths.

Meanwhile, the Centre has so far provided nearly 16.54 crore vaccine doses (16,54,93,410) to states/UTs free of cost.

Of this, the total consumption including wastages is15,79,21,537doses (as per data available at 8 am today).

“More than 75 lakh COVID vaccine doses (75,71,873) are still available with the States/UTs to be administered,” the Union health ministry said.

More than 59lakh (59,70,670) vaccine doses will be received in addition by the states/UTs within the next 3 days, it said.
