A MiG-21 Bison aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Wednesday morning met a fatal accident while taking off for a combat training mission at an airbase in central India.
One officer of the IAF lost his life in the accident.
The deceased IAF officer has been identified as Group Captain A Gupta.
“IAF expresses deep condolences and stands firmly with the family members,” an IAF statement read.
Meanwhile, the IAF has ordered a Court of Inquiry to determine the cause of accident.
