The Indian Air Force (IAF) had recently sent its Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft to patrol the area around Ladakh.
This was done after Chinese military helicopters were seen flying close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC), a border area between India and China.
As per reports, Indian and Chinese military personnel had involved themselves in a physical fight on the banks of Pangong Lake on May 5.
The incident led to a number of soldiers on both sides receiving injuries.
However, Chinese military choppers were reported to have been regularly spotted along the LAC even before the clashes took place after which a fleet of Su-30 fighters of the Indian Air Force too was sent to carry our sorties in the area.
Tensions had started brewing between Indian and Chinese Army from February after the latter stopped the former from patrolling beyond the Finger 2 area of the Pangong Lake.
Reports stated that the Indian Army has clarified that there is no build-up of troops in the area.
Last week, Indian and Chinese troops had a face-off in Nakula area of North Sikkim a few days ago.
Reports quoting Army sources stated the face-off was resolved after the intervention and dialogue at the local level on both sides took place.
In the face-off soldiers of both sides sustained injuries.
