The Assam government on the eve of Republic Day on Thursday effected a major reshuffle in the administrative and police machinery.
Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Bora has been relieved from the Science and Technology department.
Bora will, however, continue to hold charge of Additional Chief Secretary to Soil Conservation department and Welfare of Tribes and Backward Classes department.
