After Saturday’s Premier League match at Norwich, a “small number” of the players and staff members of Manchester United have recorded Covid19 positive cases.
According to a media report, Manchester United returned positive lateral flow tests ahead of training on Sunday, having all tested negative before the 1-0 victory at Carrow Road.
Manchester United won 1-0 at Norwich on Saturday with a late penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo.
It was Cristiano Ronaldo who scored from the penalty spot for Manchester United against Norwich.
Everyone, who travelled to Carrow Road, tested negative in the last round of routine tests.

But on Sunday morning, a small number of positive lateral flow tests were found among the players and staff members, who were all sent home.
The rest of the Manchester United squad trained outdoors and the schedule was adjusted, taking in individual and non-contact sessions.
After detection of Covid19 cases among players of Manchester United, the Premier League match between Brentford and Manchester United has been placed in doubt.

It has been reported that training was adjusted to individuals and non-contact sessions outdoors for those, who returned with negative tests for Covid19.
The Premier League has been notified of the Covid19 outbreak but at this stage, Tuesday’s game against Brentford remains scheduled to go ahead, the report said.
Aston Villa also had one Covid19 positive case in their playing squad, leading to a recovery session at the club’s Bodymoor Heath training ground on Sunday being cancelled, the report said.
Last week, a total of 8 Tottenham players and five staff members returned with positive tests and Spurs’ matches against Rennes and Brighton were postponed.
