Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday he is fully committed to the National Education Policy (NEP) and assured that it will be implemented fully.

The PM M was addressing the conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education under NEP.

“After such a big reform was brought on paper, it is natural for some people to question as to how will it be implemented at the ground level,” the PM said.

“All of you are directly involved with the implementation of the National Education Policy and therefore your role is very important,” he added.

“As far as political will is concerned, I am fully committed to it and I am with all of you,” he further said.

The Prime Minister further said that the NEP 2020 is being widely discussed across the country.

“People from different fields and different ideologies are giving their views and reviewing the policy. This is a healthy debate,” Modi said.

The PM further said that it was a matter of happiness that after the National Education Policy was launched, no one raised any doubt whether it was biased or is leaning towards one side.
