Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb speaking at the 25th biennial conference of Tripura Civil Service Officers’ Association here on Monday said his government is working for a transparent government through digitalization of the system to make Tripura corruption-free.

He said the new government is working on making a transparent recruit and transfer policy so that the deserving candidates get the opportunities and everyone gets equal scope to serve and hence recently many transfers of Block Development Officers (BDO)  were made so that others also get a scope but not as punishment or any other intention.

Deb said that his government with the blessings of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to make Tripura in to a model state within three years and which is not possible without the Panchayat and Civil Service officers. He requested them to come forward and work for it in a mission mode and with devotion.

The Chief Minister appreciated the officers and said neither the CM nor the chief secretary can transform any state in to a model state which is corruption free but it is the implementing officers like the Panchayat Secretaries and BDO’s who can make a change.

Deb said his government is emphasizing selected sectors like agriculture, animal-husbandry, fishery,  bamboo, tourism, connectivity, health, education, housing, electricity so that people at the lowest rung of the ladder get the benefit of the government schemes.

He said Tripura has everything but needs to utilize them so that it becomes self dependent and not dependent on the centre.
