As scheduled, international Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Dr Surendra Kumar Jain received a grand welcome after reaching Kumbhirgram Airport at Silchar on Saturday. He will participate in a huge Dharma Sabha on Sunday.
Local leaders of various Hindu nationalist organisations were present in the airport to receive the Joint General Secretary and spokesperson of the VHP, Dr Surendra Kumar Jain. Leaders from the Durga Bahini were also present to receive the VHP leader.
On the arrival of Dr Jain at the airport, Dr Jain was taken with a big car and bike rally started from Kumbhirgram to Silchar.
In this way, after reaching the Mahasadak point, a large number of vehicles joined the rally.
While entering Silchar town the total number of vehicles, joining the rally to welcome the VHP leader, touched about two thousand. Each vehicle was decorated with saffron flags. During the rally, the participants shouted the slogan ‘Jay Sri Ram’.
On Sunday, Maha Gayatri Yajna will take place in the India Club playground of Silchar town.
A huge Kund has been made for the Maha Gayatri Yajna being organized by Gayatri Paribar.
As a part of the Yajna, a Kalas Yatra was taken out by the Durga Vahini on Saturday evening.
After the Yajna, a huge Dharma Sabha will begin at 11-30 am on Sunday where Dr Surendra Kumar Jain will be present along with other distinguish guests.
The other distinguished guests include Sri Sri Vrindabanbiharidas Kathia Baba, Swami Mrinmayanandaji, Akhil Bharatiya Matrishakti Pramukh Minakshi Taai and others.
VHP Prant Sangathan Mantri Purnachandra Mandal on Saturday said, “In Sunday’s programme, we are expecting presence of around 50,000 people.” He also said that the organisation will provide Maha Prasad to all attending the programme.
