In a bizarre incident, an unidentified body was found floating in Monu river at Jolaebari area under Kailasahar Sub-division in Unakoti district on Monday morning.
The body has been suspected to be that of a tribal youth.
The incident has triggered sensation among the common people of the area.
As per reports, the body was found floating in Monu river at Jolaebari area by some villagers who went to take bath in the river in the morning.
The villagers immediately informed it to the Kailasahar Police Station.
After being informed, a team of police personnel from Kailasahar Police Station reached the spot along with a dog squad and recovered the the body in the river.
The Kailashahar Police is yet to identify the body.
However, they have already started investigation into the case.
Till filing of this report, there has been no major breakthrough in the case.
Observing the body, police have assumed that the body is that of a tribal youth.
The Kailashahar Police sources stated that there is no missing case registered in the police station so far.
