In a major fillip to the Shillong airport located at Umroi, the refuelling facilities in the airport have finally began from Saturday.
Now aircrafts can refuel at the Umroi airport for smooth operation.
Both Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited have started their refuelling facilities at the Umroi airport from Saturday.
An airport official disclosed that now with the availability of refuelling facility at the Umroi airport on the outskirts of Shillong, many chartered flights can land in the Shillong airport for refuelling rather than going to Guwahati airport for the purpose.
