Manipur police has rescued one Rohingya girl from the clutches of human trafficking racket at Moreh on April 7. The 20-year old girl was brought from Myanmar to Moreh. She has been identified as Toiba Hatu alias Nargis. Nargis is the daughter of Abu Subiyan of Monu Baguna Madila Bhara in Myanmar.

Police arrested two Rohingyas namely Saifullah and Md Salam in this connection. The two persons sneaked into India and were staying illegally at Moreh and could not produce valid documents before the police.

Police swung into action following a tip off regarding the presence of human traffickers at Moreh. They conducted house to house search operation and were able to rescue the Myanmarese girl from a house.

34-year old Saifullah and 25-year old Md Salam hail from Myanmar. Police seized a mobile phone and SIM cards from their possession. The arrested persons and the rescued girl along with the seized items were handed over to Moreh Police station for legal actions.
