Tripura police have arrested one National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militant from the Teliamuara area in Khowai district.
Acting on a specific input about the presence of NLFT rebels in Teliamura area, a team of police launched a search operation on Friday.
During the search, the team arrested NLFT militant Montu Debbarma, 28.
Police also seized cash of Rs 35,000 and a four-wheeler from him.
Debbarma arrived at the Tuikarma area of Teliamura sub-division from Ganganagar under Gandacherra sub-division in a Suzuki Alto car bearing registration number TR01Y-0345.
Police suspect the cash which was recovered from Montu Debbarma was extortion money.
