In Tripura there is no gallery for the state police.

But this time the Home department has taken an initiative to install a gallery exclusively for the state police.

The gallery will be installed at state museum in Ujjayanta Palace.

The state police personnel sacrificed their lives to curb the insurgency problem in Tripura.

Like other north-eastern states, Tripura was also affected with insurgency problem.

The senior police officials of the State informed that, the upcoming gallery will highlight the supreme sacrifices of state police personnel.

Tripura Police is going to open a Police Gallery at State Museum on January 9 next on the occasion of Police Week 2020.

Along with the sacrifice of police martyrs, the achievements of Tripura Police, the rich heritage and evolution of Tripura Police will also be highlighted.

The authorities have requested the citizens if have rare photographs, uniforms of yesteryears related to Tripura Police and even old documents related to policing prior to the merger of Tripura to donate the same for the gallery.

These antique items can be displayed in the upcoming Police Gallery and the contributor’s name will be prominently acknowledged and displayed in the State Museum.
