One 31 years old lady was gang-raped on Monday night on the outskirts of Agartala, the capital city of Tripura.
After the brutal gang rape, the miscreants tried to kill her by silting her throat by a sharp cutter.
A case has been registered at Srinagar police station in this regard.
Officer in-charge of Srinanagr police station Subimal Barman told that the lady is now admitted at Agartala Government Medical College Hospital in a very critical condition.
Subimal Barman said, on Monday night the lady took an auto-rickshaw from Battala to went her house at Sekerkote.
Two youths were sitting in that auto.
While the auto started the two youths attacked on her and took her in a jungle near Ananda Nagar.
They raped her and after that, they tried to kill her, he added.
The miscreants thought the lady will die, and they left the place.
But somehow she managed to take shelter in a house for the night.
The villagers took her to Ananda Nagar Hospital on Monday night, informed the locals.
Those villagers told that after coming to their house the villagers gave her cloths.
Police told that the condition of the lady was critical.
She is still unconscious.
Meanwhile, the police have begun investigation into the matter.
However, nobody has been identified as yet and no arrest has been made till the filing of this report.
Police informed that the lady was married seven to eight years back.
