Tripura has registered 18 new Covid19 positive cases, taking the state’s overtall tally to 1,072.

Confirming the detection of the new cases in the state, Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a tweet on Sunday night said all the newly-infected cases have been reported from Sepahijala district.

The chief minister said all the infected cases have travel history.

“More 18 people found COVID-19 #POSITIVE in Tripura today. All of them are from Sepahijala District and have travel history,” chief minister Deb tweeted.

According to the Covid19 portal of Tripura government, Tripura has registered a total of 1072 positive cases including 756 active cases, 315 cured and 1 death.

Chief minister Deb said on Sunday, a total of 1,485 samples were tested.

Meanwhile, the Tripura chief minister informed that 118 samples of COVID19 patients were tested in Bhagat Singh Covid Care Center and all the results were found negative.

The Covid19 patients will be discharged soon after their recovery, he said.

“Today 118 Samples of existing COVID-19 patients have been tested in Bhagat Singh Covid Care Center and all the results came NEGATIVE. They will be released soon. May all the COVID-19 Patients recover soon,” Deb said in an another tweet.

In the morning on Sunday, Tripura registered 15 positive cases.

“Out of 185 samples tested for COVID-19 today morning, 15 people found #POSITIVE. All are from Sepahijala District and have travel history,” the chief minister tweeted in the evening on Sunday.
