With Tripura launching its vaccination drive on a war-footing, the State recorded the highest single-day vaccination. 

On Monday, as many as 1,40,845 people in Tripura were administered COVID-19 vaccine dose. 

Of the total people vaccinated on Monday, 1,34,451 belonged to the age group of 18-44 years. 

Meanwhile, people residing in areas falling under Mangalkhali gram panchayat and Chandigarh gram panchayat have been fully vaccinated. 

While, the Mangalkhali gram panchayat falls under Yubrajnagar block of North Tripura district, about 160 kms away from Agartala, Chandigarh gram panchayat in Mohanbhog block of Sepahijla district is located 60 kms away from Agartala. 

On the other hand, 2 lakh corona vaccines arrived in Tripura from Kolkata on Monday on an emergency basis.

On Monday, according to the National Health Mission data, 30353 people in West Tripura district, 23133 people in North Tripura district, 22109 people in Sepahijla district, 21660 people in South Tripura district, 12687 people in Dhalai district, 11583 people in Unakoti district, 9915 people in Gomati district, and 9405 people in Khowai district were vaccinated. 

“In the coming days, we are on track to speed up vaccination process across Tripura,” Chief Minister Biplab Deb said.
