At least 15 patients have escaped from Narsingarh Moden Psychiatric Hospital in Tripura on Saturday night.
The hospital is commonly known as ‘mental hospital’.
It is situated on the outskirts of Agartala and near to Agartala Airport.
Till the time filing this report, the police of the airport police station staff are frantically searching for them.
Police sources said some have been rescued but others have not been found yet.
This has raised several eyebrows as concerned circles alleged negligence of the authorities of the hospital.
Many family members leave their relatives in the hospital in the hope that they will return to normal.
It is suspected that they went out through the toilet window.
Moreover, the condition of the back door of the hospital is quite weak.
