Tripura police on Wednesday night detained one vehicle and recovered 154 android mobile phones.
All the mobile sets are Chinese mde.
The value of seized mobile sets is approximately Rs 28 lakhs.
Siddhartha Sankar Kar, the officer in-charge of Amtali police station told they on Wednesday night detained one vehicle, bearing registration no TR-07=0522 at Amtali NAKA point.
That was their routine check-up. During the search they recovered 154 pieces of android mobile phones.
Two persons have been detained from that vehicle.
They have been identified as Ripan Ahmed and Hanif Maishan.
Both of them are from Sonamura sub division of Sepahijala district.
Both are brothers by relation.
It has suspected that these mobile sets were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh.
