A wedding was held on Sunday night in the Gakulnagar area of Udaipur town of Tripura at a time when the entire country is under lockdown due to coronavirus.
The first COVID-19 case was also reported from Udaipur town of the state.
The wedding, however, went forward after the groom’s and the bride’s family had acquired due permission from the district administration.
Lockdown protocols were followed strictly and the groom and the bride even wore facemasks.
The bride and groom are respectively Shubhra Shil (26) and Sunny Sutradhar (27) respectively.
They both live in New Delhi and met each other through Facebook and after a brief courtship, they decided to tie the knot.
The two had come home for the wedding and everything was fixed and arranged much before the declaration of the lockdown.
The ceremony took place at Sunny’s residence and except for the immediate family members, there were no other invited guests.
