Tripura on Monday afternoon registered 5 more COVID-19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to 321.

“Among the 444 samples tested for COVID-19 in Tripura, 5 people found,” tweeted Chief Minister Biplab Deb as he confirmed the news.

 

Tripura on Sunday had registered a total of 45 new COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, the state will soon procure a COVID-19 testing machine as the state government on Monday announced of testing every individual entering the state from outside.

So far 14,000 people have returned to Tripura and more people are expected to return to the state in the coming days.

The worst affected in the state have been the BSF jawans and their families.

The Chief Minister, however, said that there has been no community spread of the virus so far.
