The death toll in the road accident that took place on Thursday evening in Tripura rose to six.
Six passengers died and ten more were critically injured when a Max van collided head on with a speeding bus near Chesrimile area under Bishramganj police station at around 5:30 pm on Thursday.

Out of total injured persons, six were shifted to GBP Hospital.
Rest were admitted at Bishalgarh Hospital.
Four passengers died at the spot while two died in the hospital.
On Thursday BJP’s youth wing Yuva Morcha called a rally at Agartala.

The bus was going to Udaipura from Agartala carrying Yuva Morcha activists who came to attend the rally at Agartala.
The Max Van was coming from Udaipura and carrying employees and teachers who were coming to Agartala after finishing their daily duty.
After getting the information, the SDPO and the OC of Bishramganj police along with staff rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to the nearby hospital.
As per last police report, the five dead persons have been identified as Swapan Bhanerjee, a teacher) and aged around 53 years.
He is a resident of Agartala Post Office Chowmuhani.
The others include Laxmi Rani Pal (teacher), aged 57 years and resident of Amtali Roy Para; Alak Chakraborty (teacher), aged 57 years ans resident of Siddhi Asram, Agartala; Kanika Debnath of Melaghar’s Bairagi Bazar and Shital Malakar, resident of Sonamura.
One of the dead passengers is yet to be identified.
Meanwhile, deputy chief minister Jishnu Deb Barma visited the victims at GBP Hospital and inquired about their condition.
It has been learnt that Deb Barma spoke to chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb who is in Delhi to brief him about the incident.
The deputy chief minister assured of giving financial support to all the victim families.
