One more person has lost life due to COVID19 infection in Tripura in the last 24 hours in Tripura, said Covid bulletin of the state health department.

According to the Covid bulletin, the state has not recorded any new COVID19 positive case in the last 24 hours.

With the demise of one more person, the Covid19 death toll has risen to 389 in the state.

The state has recorded COVID19 death after a long period.

According to sources, the patient was admitted to a private hospital in Agartala where he died due to COVID19 infection.

The patient was 70 years old and was suffering from diabetes.

The COVID19 death rate in Tripura is 1.17% which is the highest in Northeast India.

Tripura currently has 28 positive cases.

One more COVID19 patient recovered on Monday.

In the last one week, 36 people have tested COVID19 positive in Tripura.

The Tripura government earlier announced that the families of those, who have died of COVID19 infection, would receive financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh.

But the Tripura chief minister later announced that the families of those, who died of COVID19 infection till December 31, 2020, would only receive that financial assistance.

The families of the state government employee were also exempted from the financial assistance.
