Government employees engaged in poll process on Sunday cast their votes through postal ballots at Dharmanagar Girls HS School in Tripura.

Voting process for the employees engaged in poll process started on February 10 and will continue till February 14. Poll personnel cast their votes through postal ballots in their respective SDM offices.

Saturday, the police and paramilitary personnel cast their votes through postal ballots in 12 centres across Tripura.

Security has been tightened across the state in all the polling centers where the postal ballot vote is underway.

The poling personnel engaged in the poll works are casting their vote through postal ballot for the 2018 Tripura Assembly election.

Huge excitement is noticed among the voters. They shouted slogans like ‘Let’s hike salary’ instead of ‘Chalo Paltai’.

In a major shock to the ruling LF party 19 Charilam CPI-M party candidate Ramendra Narayan Debbarma (63) breathed his last on Sunday evening. The incident came as major shock to the party as the state polls are scheduled to be held on February 18.
