Three BJP Chief Ministers from the Northeast – Pema Khandu, Sarbananda Sonowal and N. Biren Singh on Tuesday flew to Ahmedabad to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in Gujarat.

Vijay Rupani on Tuesday was sworn in as 16th Chief Minister of Gujarat along with 19 ministers including Nitin Patel, deputy Chief Minister, after the BJP’s victory in the recently concluded assembly polls which saw the ruling party winning the sixth consecutive polls with reduced majority.

“Honoured to attend the swearing-in ceremony of @vijayrupanibjp as the Chief Minister of Gujarat along with central leaders and Chief Ministers of various states,” Sonowal tweeted. “Gujarat will scale new heights with the dynamic team under the guidance of PM Shri @narendramodi ji & immensely contribute towards building a #NewIndia,” his another tweet said.

“Under your leadership the state will progress towards new heights of development and prosperity. My best wishes,” Pema Khandu said in his tweet message.

“Gujarat will continue its forward march on road to development and prosperity under the able leadership of Shri Rupani,” Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said in his tweeter message.
