A three-day teachers’ training programme – INSPIRE – organised for the teaching community by the Heartfulness Education Trust from March 27, 2018 at Lion Radheshyam Agarwalla Auditorium in Dibrugarh, concluded on Thursday.

The training programme was organized to enable the teachers develop a heart-centred approach to teaching and 21st century styles of learning and their implementation in the classrooms to help create a conscious-learning environment.

The various methods and approaches to teaching have been discussed with the help of audio-visual aids so as to cater to heterogeneous learners.

With a spiral curriculum designed to begin with one self and extend to the students and schools through the teachers, emphasis is laid on the importance of spiritual quotient and emotional quotient of the child as well for holistic growth.

Further, how each child needs his or her time to become their best and be respected for their uniqueness was discussed with various analogies.

A total of 25 government and private schools participated in the training programme.

The participants while expressing about the programme said that it enriched them and they joined the programme enthusiastically.

The Heartfulness teachers training team comprising Dr Shamala Krishna, Nirmala Sundaram and Sailaja Devaguptapu led the programme.

Doongarmal Agarwal and Premananda Thakur, Heartfulness trainers from Dibrugarh took active part in the programme.
