Tripura police arrested three persons along with brown sugar and Yaba tablets on Wednesday.
Talking to Northeast Now Krishnandu Chakraborty, superintendent of police, Khowai district said, “Today morning on the basis of the input from DSP Binoy Debbarma of the district intelligence police we laid a trap at Champahour area. During a search of a vehicle we recovered brown sugar and Yaba tablets. Three persons Dipankar Das, Krishna Malakar and Prahladh Biswas have been arrested in connection with this.”
This is the second incident of recovery of brown sugar in the district in less than 15 days.
Tripura police have taken a special mission to make the state drugs and corruption-free state and in the last three months huge quantity of cough syrup bottles, ganja and tablets have been recovered.
