“Those who raised anti-Indian slogans in JNU campus deserve to be jailed,” union home minister Amit Shah said in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday.
He was addressing a public rally organised to generate in support of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
“Anti-India slogans were raised by some students in JNU,” Shah said.
“They also raised slogans like Bharat tere tukde honge ek hazar, inshallah, inshallah,” Shah reiterated.
“Aren’t these people anti-nationals and shouldn’t they be put behind bars?” Shah asked.
On Saturday, the home minister unveiled over 5.5 lakh postcards, written by the Ahmedabad residents to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The posts cards were written to the PM thanking him for passing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) in the Parliament.
The post-cards carry the message “We Support CAA, thank you Narendra Mogiji for passing it”.
Shah unveiled the postcards while addressing a public rally at Naranpura Assembly constituency in Gujarat, organised to generate awareness regarding Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
