Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) president P S Golay attended a youth seminar at Salghari in South district organized by SKM South district youth front.
A press release issued on Monday stated that Golay shared the programmes of the party with the local gathering during visit.
The statement quoted Golay as saying that if voted to power SKM will conduct only written examinations for government jobs.
“Vive voce is an opportunity to do irregularities by the government and we will stop this practice,” said the SKM president.
Golay also said that the SKM will focus on creating smart villages.
“Ministers are touring foreign nations in the name of smart cities. Our government will make smart villages instead of smart cities. We will give land rights to Tongedars residing in forest areas. We will give regular employment to a member of those families who have donated their land for construction of schools as per their qualification,” the release stated quoting Golay.
The SKM focused on youth empowerment for development of the State and nation.
He said that the youths are the foundation of SKM and they are the future leaders.
“In the coming days, youths would be the SKM president and Chief Minister of Sikkim,” he was quoted as saying.
Golay urged the youths to work harder for the SKM.
