Assam’s singing sensation Zubeen Garg has again come under controversy after his name reportedly appears in the suicide note of city trader and senior Congress leader Anupam Bardoloi, who was found hanging in his house here on Wednesday morning.
A report aired by ‘News 18 Assam & NE’ on Thursday claimed that in his suicide note, Bardoloi has mentioned the name of Zubeen Garg, a woman political leader and an actress.
Some of the close associates of Anupam Brdoloi told the news channel that he was under tremendous mental pressure for last few months. They claimed to have seen the suicide note of Bardoloi and said that Bardoloi had named a popular singer and an anchor of Assam in the suicide note.
Bardoloi was found hanging in his house near AIDC here.

Though the police recovered a suicide note from the spot, they remained tight-lipped over the issue.
“We have registered a case in this regard and investigation is on,” police said while refusing to divulge the details about the letter.
Police said that the preliminary investigation indicated it to be a case of suicide.
Bardoloi was found dead hours after his birthday on December 18, 2018.
Despite repeated attempts by ‘Northeast Now’, neither Zubeen Garg nor his manager could be contacted for comments. However, ‘Northeast Now’ will update the singer’s comment whenever he is reached.
On the other hand, the news has gone viral on the social media networks after the news channel aired it linking Zubeen Garg with the city trader’s suicide.
Bardoloi was cremated at Nabagraha cremation ground in Guwahati on Thursday in presence of his family members, friends and well-wishers.
Bardoloi married to singer and composer Chinmoyee Bardoloi in 1999.
The last post (at 00:20 am on Wednesday) on his Facebook page read as: “Happr birthday my love. You are my inspritation. Bold and beautiful. You are always with my dreams. One has to be bold to accept the same. Love u, love u, & love u. Nothing else . You are awesome and wowsome.”
On Tuesday at 1:16 am, his post on his Facebook page read as: “I am so very happy today hence wishing you a Merry Christmas in advance…..Enjoy life……alone or with companions……you will never get this moment again….enjoy life….”
His another post on his Facebook page at 1:40 am on Tuesday read as: “Being strong feels you great. Don’t listen to everybody. Do what your heart speaks. But with honesty & sincerely. Cheers friends.”
He also shared a ‘Good morning’ wish on December 18, 2018 at 10:22 am which read as “Never Search, Your Happiness In Others It Will Make You Feel Alone. But Search It In Yourself, You Will Feel Happy Even If You Are Alone.”
Although Bardoloi was a senior member of the Congress, he was not holding any portfolio of the party prior to his demise.
As per information, Bardoloi cleared his MBA From Pondicherry Central University.
Bardoloi, who graduated from Gauhati Commerce College, did his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Khanapara in Guwahati.
A Rotary Club member Bardoloi was also the chairman at Smart Institute of Learning (hub of Tata Institute of Social Sciences).
