Arenla Subong, one of the lead singers of popular folk-fusion band ‘Abiogenesis’, recently released a compilation of plays entitled ‘Wings of Passion’.
‘Wings of Passion’ is a collection of four plays, namely ‘Lichaba’s Daughter’, ‘Sojourn of the Ahom Prince in Naga Hills’, ‘Big Time Buddies’ and ‘Adapting to Change’.
The book was launched by Dr SC Jamir, Governor of Odisha at the 3rd Odisha Art and Literature Festival.
The popular band from Nagaland consists of members Arenla, Moa, Aso and Meren and has been credited with the invention of two new musical instruments namely, Bamhum, a bamboo wind musical instrument and Tikzik, a bamboo percussion that emits a unique sound that cannot be imitated by any other instrument.
The book has been published by Heritage Publishing and is priced at Rs 300.
The people in Dimapur will be able to purchase the collection of plays from select stores while readers from outside the region will be able to buy it from select online book portals.
