Sikkim's Science Centre will now be a must-visit destination for tourists.

Gangtok: Sikkim’s Science Centre will now be a must-visit destination for tourists, as it has been officially included in the state’s tourism itinerary.

Sandeep Tambe, Secretary of Sikkim‘s Department of Science and Technology, expressed optimism about the decision, stating it will significantly elevate the centre’s profile and offer visitors a unique and enriching experience.

“We believe incorporating the Science Centre into the tourist itinerary will foster a deeper appreciation for science and technology among visitors,” Tambe said.

“The centre’s interactive exhibits and programs cater to all ages, making it an exciting and educational stop for everyone,” he added.

Equipped with a 3D theatre, planetarium, and innovation hub, the Sikkim Science Centre promises to captivate and inspire. By encouraging tourists to explore the centre’s offerings, the state aims to promote scientific curiosity and learning.

Tambe further said that the local community and students will be benefitted from the centre, adding that there is a potential for increased scientific awareness and educational opportunities.
