GANGTOK: Former Gangtok MLA Dorjee Namgyal Bhutia has quit the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) on Thursday (March 14).
In his resignation letter, Dorjee Namgyal Bhutia stated, “I hereby inform you of my decision to resign from the primary membership of the party.”
He added: “I also wish to express my sincere gratitude for the responsibilities entrusted to me during my tenure with the SDF Party since 1993.”
“I am grateful for the opportunities afforded to me while serving in various capacities,” Namgyal said.
However, the senior politician from the Himalayan state did not specify the reason for his resignation.
