In order to promote Dalmia MTB Arunachal 2018 scheduled to start from November 14, 2018, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Sunday pedaled in mountain terrain of Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh has already geared up for the world’s toughest mountain terrain biking Dalmia MTB Arunachal 2018.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who launched the promos of MTB Arunachal 2018 in the last week of September this year and contributed Rs 22 lakh as prize money for the event, has also gifted ‘Being Human’ cycles.

Informing this on his Twitter handle on Sunday, Union Minister Rijiju stated: “Gearing up for the world’s toughest Mountain Terrain Biking “DALMIA MTB ARUNACHAL 2018” starting on 14th Nov. Thanks Salman Khan for the contributions and gifting me those amazing “Being Human” Cycles.”

Rijiju, who has uploaded a number of images where the Union Minister has been seen along with some other cyclists pedaling in a mountain terrain, stated “cycling is good for environment, fitness and commuting”.

Union Minister Rijiju tweeted: “Besides Mountain Terrain Biking “DALMIA MTB ARUNACHAL 2018? which is starting on 14th November in Arunachal Pradesh, cycling is good for environment, fitness and commuting.”

On September 27, 2018, the promos for the event were launched by superstar Salman Khan in Mumbai in the presence of Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju.

The categories of the race are Open Men Solo, Open Women Solo, Team of Two, Master’s 40+, Student’s , Best Arunachal Rider, Promising Rider, Para Rider.

The MTB Arunachal is a mountain bike race held in Arunachal Pradesh which covers about 730 Kms in seven days starting from the beautiful Mechuka Valley till Itanagar.

On the way the riders will pass through the dense monsoonal forests, river beds, vast expansive land and rest for one day in the hauntingly beautiful Apatani plateau Ziro.

This is a race being organized by the riders themselves and is a Non-Profit venture. The event is the brain child of MoS Kiren Rijiju.

The State government has come out in a big way to assist in making this event a success.
