Senior Congress leader and former Assam Minister Rakibul Hussain on Wednesday lodged complaint against suspended Congress leader Anil Raja to the Election Commission in New Delhi.

Hussain has also submitted a memorandum to the EC along with some other documents substantiating the fact that Raja was trying to fabricate him and malign his image.

He also claimed that he now has the list of the property owned by Hussain in his wife’s name in Lakhimpur.

Raja said, “In Lakhimpur, he has huge property in his wife’s name. Before 2016 Assembly elections, he did not make mention of this property.”

Informing that he has also already dashed off letters to the Election Commission and the Income Tax Department, Raja informed that he has urged the EC to take action against him for disobeying the Election rules by not revealing all details about his property while contesting polls.

Raja was suspended by the party leadership for bringing the infighting within the party before media.
