Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday, will review the COVID-19 situation in the country.
PM Modi will chair a meeting to review the COVID situation in the country as Omicron variant of the virus has surged infection.
The meeting is expected to begin at 4:30pm.
India, on Sunday, logged a total of 1,59,632 new COVID-19 infections.

This is the highest single-day COVID numbers in 224 days.
The number of active COVID cases in India also increased to 5,90,611 – the highest in the last 197 days.
Meanwhile the case tally of the Omicron variant of the virus has reached 3,623 in the country.
